As Northwest Advanced Bio-Fuels LLC moves forward up the field to become a leader in the Sustainable Aviation Fuel (“SAF”) business, we want to highlight a few critical team members to assist in the game plan.

Because I love football, I’ve set up my team like an NFL team might, with the right players at their respective positions.
The next team player deserving of a highlight here is Nausher Khan, our Director of Project Development, and the guy who is our team’s defensive coordinator.

Nausher is the Director of Project Development for our Project. Nausher fits the bill for NWABF like a defensive coordinator would work for a football team, designing defensive strategies and managing plays for the game’s defense.

Nausher makes sure that all the project technology and engineering components are efficiently being met. All activities in connection with the Project have been managed accurately and within budget. We also have to keep an eye on the clock, so Nausher manages the time frames required in our contracts for all aspects of the Project.

Nausher has had a long and fruitful career in the energy industry, spending the past 18 years with NAES Corporation, a recognized world-leader as an independent services company dedicated to optimizing energy facilities’ performance across the power generation, oil & gas, and petrochemical industries.

Nausher contributed greatly to increasing the NAES’s project portfolio from about 30 projects in 2002 to a more recent 350-plus project. He has also worked on developing renewable fuel projects. It was through these connections that he connected with Dave Smoot over 8 years ago. I’m glad that we met and worked together because Nausher brings his considerable industry experience and pedigree to the NWABF project.

Earlier in his life, Nausher attended Notre Dame College, St. John’s University, and Thunderbird School of Global Management. He grew up in Bangladesh and studied and mentored at Notre Dame College under the principalship of Father Richard William Timm, an internationally-acclaimed scientist and humanist, who recently passed away.

Nausher lives in the greater Seattle area and is a great resource for our team for the Project’s many needed resources and connections with Grays Harbor, Washington. Nausher, like many self-made Professional Athletes, paid the price to succeed and deserves all the credit he gets for coming to this country, studying and working hard to make a great life for his family, and finally, becoming a Citizen. I trust this kind of individual to complete the tasks he is challenged with, and we are thankful to have his type of “moral fiber and character” on our Team.

We are excited to have Nausher on the Northwest Advanced Bio-Fuels team, helping us get closer to the end zone in this game of developing SAF.
